The Christian's National Anthem

Many people think this great hymn should be our national anthem.. I believe that it should be every Christian's national anthem. Lest we forget, this great country was founded on Christian Principles. It is a country that shouldn't be and should have been overwhelmed many times by both its enemies from without and from the dissension within. Yet, this country has stood. Why?

This nation has stood because it was founded and populated by Christians who constantly prayed for it to be a place that honor the most holy God. Oh, we have had our failures and mis-steps but God's people kept praying and they kept believing and God heard. I am convinced that when we get to heaven that it isn't going to be the great politicians who get the glory but the little people who prayed for peace and for goodness to prevail that will receive the accolades of God.

Re-read the great hymn and make note of the words that warn of the great day of the Lord. Because one day, the Lord of all creation, will return to judge all people, great and small, and to judge all nations. Let's continue to pray for our nation and for revival to come to this world that we might stand righteously before the great King and hear Him say, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."
