We have taller buildings, but shorter tempers

Wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints

We spend more, but have less

We have bigger houses and smaller families

More conveniences, but less time

More knowledge, but less judgement

More experts, but more problems

More medicine, but less health

We spend too recklessly, laugh too little,

drive too fast, get too angry too quickly,

watch too much TV, and pray too seldom

We multiplied what we have, but reduced our values

We talk too much, lie too often and love too seldom

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life

We've added years to life, not life to years

We've been all the way to the moon,

but can't cross the street to meet the new neighbor

We've done larger things, but not better things

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul

plan more but accomplish less

We've learned to rush, but not to wait

We have higher incomes, but lower morals;

more acquaintances, but fewer friends;

We've become long on quantity, but short on quality

These are the times of fast food and slow digestion;

of tall men and short character;

These are the days of two incomes, but more divorce;

of fancier houses to hold broken homes;

These are the days of quick trips, disposable diapers,

throwaway morality, and pills that do everything;

These are the days when we really need Christ!

These are the days when we need some stability. We need to stand on firm footing because the world around is constantly changing. Our families, our children need to see someone standing up and saying what is right and what is wrong . We need some people who want just go with the crowd and chase the empty values espoused by television and the world. We need people who make a stand and make a stand on a firm foundation.

There is only one sure foundation. It is the Rock that never fails. It is the Lord Christ Jesus. You see these are days when we need Christians who will take their place and follow the righteous teachings of the Lord. People whop will choose to be right, walk right and live right in a world that is constantly changing with whatever wind that blows.
