It had been one of those weeks, you know the kind, where it seemed like everything had happened. He was really tired. He laid his head down on the pillow and was soon fast asleep. He never knew if it was a dream or a vision, but it was a night, he would never forget.
He was sure he was asleep but suddenly there was a blinding light and he felt himself being lifted up. He burst through the clouds like a rocket and the next thing he knew he was in Heaven. He knew it was Heaven by the beauty and the wonder of it all.
As he stood on the street, an Angel appeared and began to lead him through the city. As they walked from street to street, from building to building, he saw things that amazed him. They turned and walked into a beautiful glass like structure. They walked through a foyer and came down a long hallway. There were many doors and every once in a while they would cross another corridor. They came to a large area and there were a few people standing around and talking.
Suddenly, a door opened and in walked a man. There was something about him. He was one of those people that instantly commanded respect and attention. He had a way that he walked, an air of confidence and power. The look on his face told you he was a man who knew who he was and where he was going. Everyone in the hall turned and watched as he walked by.
The man turned to the Angel and asked, "Who was that man?"
The Angel turned to the man and said, "That was the man.. That God intended you to be."
The man awoke and couldn't go back to sleep.
You Have A Destiny.
The truth is that God has a plan for your life. God created you for a purpose. It states in Ephesians 2:10. that we are God’s workmanship, created by Him, for good works. Simply put, that means that God has a plan and a purpose for each and every one of us. The sad truth is that too often we miss God’s plan. Then we are satisfied to just exist. We are happy to just live out our lives. We just survive life instead of embracing our destiny. Listen, that isn’t what God desires for you. God wants to bless you. God wants you to have the best possible life you can live. Anything less than your destiny is second best or worse.
How terribly sad, to find ourselves, standing before the living God and discover that we had settled for a second rate life, when God had intended so much more for us.
God has a plan for your life. It begins by coming to Him, accepting Him as our Lord and Savior, and then allowing Him to lead us into our destiny. Don’t miss it. Do it now!
